Let’s start with a confession. Our new little round soaps weren’t actually our idea. They were the brainchild of our dear friends at Made in Stroud. Made in Stroud is a rather special shop. I hope every town has one. Started by Clare Honeyfield in 1991, it carefully curates and beautifully showcases the products of artists and makers in our home town. They help to blur the line between maker and customer, giving us an ear to the ground.

Whilst fans of our gorgeous wrapped soaps, exclusively designed by the textile artist  Susie Hetherington, Clare and Charlotte suggested something that we make something a little simpler, a soap that you would be more likely to buy for yourself, a little less likely to gift.

It struck a chord. Soap Folk started with a mission to celebrate the simple pleasure of natural skincare. We believe that a lovely bar of soap shouldn’t be a luxury that we hope to get in our christmas stockings. Natural soap should be every day joy, along with a loaf of fresh bread and cup of good coffee.

So introduces our every day soap collection. A price you don’t have to blink at, a reason you don’t have find.

They might be smaller and a little plainer, but you’ll find that every day soaps more than hold their own against our more sophisticated, wrapped bar soaps.  Presented in a round shape that fits reassuringly into the palm of your hand, these are no poor cousins. You’ll find that it’s hard to just buy one.

And there you have it. The story of our every day soaps. The same natural ingredients. The same simple pleasure. Every day.
