Beautiful stoneware soap dishes handmade by Tom Knowles Jackson especially for Soap Folk.
The ideal companion to your bar of handmade soap, these practical soap dishes with their clever ridged design will help keep your soap dry and last longer.
The soap dish measures 13cm in diameter and 4cm depth
As a handmade object, there may be some slight variation in size, colour and texture between each piece, so all dimensions are as accurate as possible.
As a handmade item, each dish will be unique in character and finish of glaze. The base of the soap dish is unglazed so that it sits securely on the edge of the sink or worktop surface.
Cobalt blue - classic warm blue which looks particularly stunning against a white bathroom suite
Green celadon - pale green glaze
Tenmoku - glossy treacly hue with good standout against a variety of surfaces.
Tin white - speckled white glaze perfect for more neutral settings
Tom Knowles Jackson works from his Stroud based studio, which sits alongside the Soap Folk workshop. He makes high fired stoneware, using a small range of his own glazes derived from iron, copper and wood ash. His work is focused on creating beautiful, usable ceramics.
From the same site, Tom also runs an open ceramic studio The Clayloft, a lively and creative space for beginners and experienced potters alike.
Fantastic soap dish, stylish and functional.
The only soap dish I have ever bought that actually keeps the soap from getting soggy. And it looks fabulous too.
Doesn’t move/slip off the bathroom basin. A rustic well made soap dish. Keeps the soap dry & the ridges hold the soap well. Delivery was 2 days. Well packaged no plastic in sight. Thanks
