We had a beautiful weekend here in Stroud and very welcome after a particularly wet (and thundery) week. The sun made a gentle return, and with it came that familiar reminder: our skin often notices the changing seasons before we do.
As we move into spring, looking after your skin doesn’t need to become complicated. In fact, quite the opposite. A few thoughtful products can help support your skin as it adjusts. If you usually come to us for soap, this could be a lovely time to try something new, just one small addition to your routine as the season shifts.
We’ve always believed that these everyday rituals should be gentle, not only on your skin but on the world around us too. From making in small batches to minimising waste (you may have come across our much-loved soap offcuts), Earth Day offers a quiet reminder of why that matters and why we continue to do things this way.
If it feels like your skin could do with a little extra care this spring, here are a few simple ways to begin.
In our bathroom at home, we’ve recently switched to Goat’s Milk & Honey soap, still gentle, still nourishing, and especially comforting when skin needs a little extra moisture after those cold spring mornings.
Rosehip face and body oil has also become a favourite in our routine. It’s a simple, versatile oil for both face and body, leaving skin feeling cared for, particularly if it’s been a little weathered after time in the sun or out in the garden.
And for those moments when your skin needs a little deeper support, a richer, soothing balm can bring a welcome sense of comfort, especially on dry areas or after time spent outdoors
A new season doesn’t ask for much, just a few small shifts, and a little extra care where it’s needed
