Spring is well underway at home and at the workshop. The heating is off, the evenings are lighter, and it’s finally warm enough to leave the coat by the door. Best of all, we can start opening the windows properly again.
After a few months of everything being shut up, it’s a relief to let fresh air through the house. And at this time of year, when blossom and sunshine already smell so good outside, the last thing you might want is to mask the air inside with heavy or synthetic fragrance.
That’s where lavender sachets work particularly well.
Natural lavender buds can’t compete with the intensity of commercial air fresheners, room sprays, or fragrance reeds. Instead, they sit in the background and show up in small ways: opening a drawer, getting dressed, or getting into bed at night. And that’s exactly why we like them.
At this time of year, as we start packing away winter woollens, changing bedding, and going through drawers and cupboards, lavender sachets are especially useful.
That’s the difference with real lavender. It doesn’t try to fill a space or last indefinitely. It fades slowly, and what’s left is a fresh, familiar scent in the places you use most.
We notice it in the workshop as well. When we’re working with lavender all day, the scent builds gradually in the space. Nothing strong, just steady and consistent in the background.
If you’re doing a spring refresh at home, lavender sachets are a simple way to keep drawers, wardrobes, and storage spaces smelling fresh, naturally.
